The Different Angles To Take A Photo

There are many different ways to take a photograph, most common one know is to take a straight picture of something head first. So to point your camera lens directly at the area you are photographing, but I am going to tell you more !

Sitting Down
With the whole camera world developing, people have been taking pictures from different angles. This angle I am going to talk about is from a sitting down position, people sometimes lay down and point their camera lens through an object of some sort e.g. grass if gives a new effect and breaks up the blocks of colour and plain texture of a normal photograph. It shows everything from a lower perspective. It is also said that children look more relaxed and comfortable when seated when taking a portrait photograph.

Underwater
Underwater photography is very simple if you have the right equipment. All you need is a underwater camera or any waterproof camera, put your camera in a shallow bit of water, it does not even have to be in the sea and take a snap . Personally I think taking a photo where lots of sea creature or coral live is worth a try I have done this in the great barrier reef !Underwater pictures so the sea in a completely new perspective, on the outside it looks rough and rocky, but underneath it is filled with hundreds of amazing species from different parts of the world.

Reflections and Mirrors
Using reflections are great for getting a new perspective and outlook. Most common refection is of landscapes mirrored in lakes. People can also be reflected to show emotion and feeling or even to take a unique picture for own keeping. If you point a camera lens at a mirror and have another mirror behind you, the image will copy itself creating a cool mirroring effect.

Best places of the world to photograph

There are various places around the world that you could photograph, that may be significant for you, resemble or sum up how you look at the world. But I would like to tell you about some of the extrodinary places to photograph. These are my top 3 favourites:

1. The Marbled Caves of Chile

These are caves that are located bordering the Lake General Carrera on a glacial lake which is on the Chile/Argentina border. I would love to photograph this cave, because the lighting is amazing due to the blue cavern walls that reflect the water beneath it. Waves crashing against the Calcuim Carbonate gives us this opportunity to photograph this landscape.

2.  Lake Retba

Lake Retba is found Senegal, north east of Dakar North Africa. Even though is seems like a simple picture to take, the fact is that the water is pink and gives a completely new perspective when taking this picture. The water is pink because of an algae called Dunaliella Salina. The light is absorbed by a red pigment turning the water pink. This lake also allows people to easily float. The water is so salty that is also allows people to float easily.

3. Salar de Uyuni
The photo is of a worldwide known salt lake. It is considered the biggest mirror to ever been seen. It is located in Southwest Bolivia near the Andes. It was formed due to several prehistoric lakes that were transformed. The salt crust was extremely flat creating the smooth effect. Photographing this would be amazing because the lake reflects images, so when you take a photo, you dont have to edit it as it is already so unique in itself.

Most commonly used camera

As I am doing my blog about photography, I would like to talk to you about the different cameras that are used. For a long time many people used the disposable camera, as it was easy to get rid of and you can develop the pictures, It was also very afforable. But to this date ditigal cameras are the most popluar because of the LCD screen on the back. The LCD screen is the screen on the back of the camera which allows us to see the object/ landscape/ person that we would like to photograph. The digital camera allows us to change the settings/ brightness and zoom.
The disposable cameras are not very suitable to take clear precise photographs. This is because they do not have a Lcd screen to show you what you are taking and the different focuses and angles. The photos tend to come out blurry and unfocused. Even with film cameras, they are better in the way that you can just buy a new film roll instead of having to buy another memory card. Ditigal camera are most common because you can develop the film whenever you want or save it onto your computer. The photographs appear to be less grainy. But the main reason I think, is that technology is constantly improving, therefore the digital cameras are going to be constantly improving.
